We are trying to get our children to be active, healthier and fitter. Throughout the schools we want to involve families as much as possible too. We want to get families spending time together wherever possible and in whatever shape or form that might be.
So we will be having 'Family Together' challenges each month for our pupils to have a go at with their family and friends.
Why don't you have a go and each school will be showing what their families have been up to below......
June:
Pets!!!
We all love our pets or if we don't have a pet maybe someone in our family does or perhaps a neighbour or friend.
Pets are great to talk too if we are feeling sad or happy. They help us get exercise and teach us how to care for living creatures.
Share your favourite photo of you and your pet/pets. What makes your pet so special?

Share what you do.......????
Over the past few months you have been given challenges to do with your family. Now it's your turn to share with us all the amazing things you do. Let your teachers know what you do when you're not at school. It could be a sport, a craft activity, volunteering, learning an instrument. It could be something you do on your own, or with a friend, a team or your family. ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING that you think makes you who you are.
Share a photo with your teachers and then they can post some of them on this website and it might inspire someone to do that 'thing' too and learn something new.
Perhaps your teachers and parents even have a skill/hobby that makes them amazing too.......

What we made after our walks...
In preparation for Fatty Thursday, our students made "faworki" with the help of their parents.

Read to me... - Students read books with their parents or siblings, then share the experience with their friends.
The Secret Garden
Preparing for May 26th: Mother's Day
Our students learned about the flora and fauna of our region and set out on excursions to find plants and animals (or traces of them) in the forest and on the beach.
Due to the teachers' strike in Poland and the resulting time limitations, our students made toys and other objects out of plastic and other recycled items. We did visit the Museum of Transport and Technology in Szczecin where we got some nice ideas... We may try to make a bench next year :)

March
On the 19th of March, we celebrate Saint Joseph, the poors’ protectors and the carpenters’ patron Saint. On this day, we traditionally make the “TAVOLATA”, that is a big table full of traditional Sicilian food. Families contribute by preparing delicious dishes or offering uncooked food, such as vegetables, which will be donated to charity: a good example for children who experience local traditions!
The “minestrone” (the poors’ meal- a mix of pasta and legumes-), cooked by some pupils’ mothers, and the “blessed bread” are offered to people who take part to the celebration. Moreover, on Easter time pupils bring prepackaged food for the poor.
